Exclusive Launch of the Hanhart Primus Survivor Pilot Watch
Fellow watch enthusiasts! Now that the clocks have sprung forward, we trust that spring is well and truly upon us and there will be opportunities to spend time outside in the great outdoors. We ourselves have been travelling and recently flew to the Black Forest in Germany for a meeting with our friends at Hanhart.
As many of you already know, at Page and Cooper we love visiting our watchmakers, spending time to see what makes them tick! Whilst at the factories we immerse ourselves in all things horological. We spend hours, sometimes days with our excellent craftsmen and of course, during breaks there are always new stories to tell about the watches we love.
Whilst most watchmakers wait for the annual exhibition at Baselworld/Switzerland to announce their new releases, we at Page and Cooper have generally already seen, and in some cases been involved with, the development of many of these amazing new pieces. It is both a pleasure and a privilege and one of the special things we look forward to sharing with you our readers.
And so it is with pleasure and excitement that we bring you news of a very, very special announcement from the Hanhart factory.
The Hanhart Primus Survivor Pilot is a limited edition of just 50 pieces. Together with a contemporary outdoor feel, the Survivor features a bronze green metallic dial with super luminova details and an olive green canvas strap.
Sharing its heritage with the Desert Pilot (currently competing in the gruelling Paris/Dakar Rally with Team Stephen Schott and Holm Schmidt driving their ‘very special’ British Mini), the beauty of the Primus Pilot is more than skin deep. The case is manufactured from HDS pro scratch-resistant steel. The tough convex anti-reflective crystal is designed to give crystal clear legibility of the large hands and dials. However, one clever part of the Primus case that is not noted often enough is the set of flexible lugs that dramatically reduce the size and bulk of this contemporary chronograph, whilst retaining, indeed enhancing, its cutting edge feel. Together with the superb quality of the textile strap, this all adds up to a very comfortable watch. Try one, you’ll be amazed how easy and snug it is to wear.
You can watch our review of the Hanhart Primus Survivor Pilot below:
It goes without saying that this wouldn’t be a Hanhart chronograph without the traditional red reset button and up to date technology. The Primus reset button is manufactured from tough, scratch-resistant, anodised aluminium. This very limited Survivor Pilot will be prepared for delivery in a beautifully made canvas tool roll exclusive to the watch.
And finally, some really exclusive news both for us and for this watch…the world debut of the Hanhart Primus Survivor Pilot will be a Page and Cooper exclusive at our new watch installation at Timothy Everest’s atelier in London’s Spitalfields, just a short walk from Liverpool Street station. Many of Hanhart’s most exclusive pieces will be available at our prestigious location for the first time in years. Why don’t you make an appointment to come? Page and Cooper welcome clients new and old and it would be a pleasure to talk Hanhart!
