Introducing the 1:18th Scale Ferrari 250 GTO 1962 Launch Edition

Never before released, the 1:18th scale Ferrari 250 GTO 1962 Launch Edition is handmade in Italy and is almost as exclusive as the real thing.

One of the most famous automobiles of all time, the Ferrari 250 GTO was produced by Ferrari in the early '60s and is still considered the quintessential Ferrari.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 250 GTO, BBR Models of Milan has announced a limited edition of the first version of the 250 GTO, as presented to the world's press in 1962.

This original version of the 250 GTO was shown without the rear aerodynamic spoiler and a stripped out interior befitting a true race car. BBR Models’ 250 GTO 1:18th scale model has been recreated with the help of drawings, photos and manufacturing tips from Ferrari's headquarters at Maranello.

BBR has laboured to recreate every intricate detail of the 250 GTO. As an example; the spoked wheels, notoriously difficult to replicate in models of this scale, are made from turned aluminium and have been replicated with the direct assistance of Boranni Wheels who are also based in Milan.

Entirely handmade in Italy in a strictly limited edition, this is the first time this specific Ferrari 250 GTO has been released in any scale.

Packaged with an elegant hand stitched leather base or alternatively in a handmade plexiglass case, this will be a true investment piece.
