The New Zodiac Aerospace GMT Limited Edition

If there is one thing that we at Page and Cooper take pride in, above all others, it’s in spotting horological talent.

Watch creation is not a friend of the mighty yet soul-less industrial machine. No matter how big the manufacturer, and we will go into this in a moment, it’s always down to a talented team, even an individual, to make the difference.

Face on

Watchmakers Zodiac is no exception. As we have divulged on previous occasions, Mrs P&C and myself bought our first personal Zodiacs in 2007 and have been big fans of the brand ever since. In the last few years, Zodiac have developed, matured and morphed into an extremely special watchmaker. And here let’s dispel a myth. Although the Zodiac Company is part of the large Fossil Group of Companies, it is still a genuine boutique player. Production in Biel, Switzerland remains small and specialised and concentrates not only in producing for the watch fan, a beautiful and well constructed watch at a superb price, but also one where exemplary styling, micro engineering and decoration still pays respect Zodiac’s illustrious and fascinating past. To show the importance the Company pays to its tradition, when we posted a picture of the current collection to Instagram the other day, adding a black and white filter, the subsequent image looked like it could actually have been taken from a 1960’s Catalogue! Demand for Zodiac has grown exponentially with us and at the time of this blog demand outstrips supply big time.

It’s nice that Zodiac keeps the range simple. What we have is a relatively small creative collection that takes inspiration from many eras of the past. However the one thing that has been absent from the range is a GMT. In fact it has been ‘the most requested watch we do not sell’.........until now.

We were shown and asked to comment on the Zodiac GMT prototypes at our P&C/Zodiac event in London last year. We could not wait to get the final versions. It is with great pride and excitement that we present them to you now. So, at last, here they are. The new Zodiac Aerospace GMT...powered by the superb ETA 2893-2. The black dial is highlighted by polished indices with finely polished hands and a red GMT hand, all with inset superluminova. Each watch is presented with its own individual bracelet which of course meets the high Zodiac standards. We have fought long and hard to get as many as we could available for the our beloved customers, but obviously there won’t be many. We will sell out very quickly. So, don’t delay.
