Product Reviews

  • I’m really enjoying this vintage-inspired, military-dialled, watch. The 40mm case size fits comfortably and the watch is well-specced, with a sapphire crystal, and an STP 3-13 automatic movement (which is apparently a variation of the ETA-2824) beating at 4hz. The power reserve is 44 hrs, and the movement is hacking and self-winding (in an anti-clockwise direction.)

The fact that the movement is COSC-certified makes the £800+ price great value. I set mine three days ago against a Casio multi band, and it’s still running accurately TO THE SECOND!

The dial is a dark grey/black textured material, with painted on arab numerals which are very legible - the lume lasts throughout the night.

The Olympos Military has a 20mm lug-width and mine are with 2 straps, a green nato with a nice zodiac branded clasp, and a really good vintaged brown leather strap.

The only real con for me is the screw-down crown, which is very fiddly to engage, almost to the point of me thinking there is something wrong with the thread. When it is threaded, however, it stays threaded.

I work in a bar/music venue, so the watch is going to take a bashing! It seems tough enough to take it, but the real thing I love about The Olympos Military is its amazing accuracy.
